Book-wise, I recommend Witch and Wizard by James Patterson

Film-wise, I recommend: Red Cliff (based off the history about the 3 kingdoms in China during the Han dynasty), Precious (hard to watch, but very powerful), The Blind Side (heartwarming and inspiring), Inglorious Bastards (a bloody and creative outlook on taking down Hitler), and coming soon, Toy Story 3 and The Last Airbender.

There are really 20 seasons of Survivor? Wow. I didn't know it was on for that long already. And as for TV show recs, The Big Bang Theory is pretty funny in a smart/geeky kind of way. The show The Inbetweeners is raunchy humor but has charm.

Anime: Kaichou wa Maid-sama, K-ON!, Nodame Cantabile Finale, Tokyo Magnitude 8.0, and Toshokan Sensou (Library War). Manga: Akuma to Love Song

Games: Batman: Arkum Asylum, Beyond Good and Evil, inFamous, and Mirror's Edge.

I just read a blurb on Witch and Wizard by James Patterson & it sounds really good! I've been wanting to read some good fantasy so I'll definitely try to find a copy to read sometime soon :D

I watched Inglorious Bastards when it came out in Australia (love Tarantino) but I haven't seen the rest - I remember seeing a trailer for Red Cliff and planning to watch it, but I've never gotten around to it. Toy Story 3 and The Last Airbender are both on my 'to watch' list - my niece loves Toy Story and my brother likes Avatar: The Last Airbender so yep, I'll be watching them as soon as they are released!

LOL I know, TWENTY SEASONS, it's unbelievable! Survivor is one of the few reality tv shows that I like, but I was amazed that they had done that many seasons...LOL I've probably watched about half of them, when the show first started I really loved it, but I haven't bothered watching it for a couple of years...the Villians v Heroes season sounded interesting so I decided to check it out and it was a lot of fun, I enjoyed it more than the ( ... )

It's definitely worth a read or two. I haven't read any fantasy books since HP, heh. I'm glad I picked it up, though!

All good movies for different reasons, just depends on what you're looking for =) TS3 and TLA I definitely plan on watching, the latter in 3D (gonna be the first movie I've watched in 3D since I was a child). Hopefully TLA the movie will persuade you into watching the series? ;)

Probably the only reality show that's rivaling most long running dramas. I only watching the first season and thought it was pretty decent, but I started watching other stuff and it slowly but surely got pushed aside. You liked it more than the Lost final season? That's saying something! (I don't watch Lost personally, but I know a lot of people that do and love it).

It's definitely worth finding some time to watch it. Watching them struggle and being so smart yet so naive is truly delightful xD

Awesome! KwM-sama kind of reminds me of Special A, so that's probably why I'm enjoying it. And yeah, so many blonde guys after her, just wow. You'd ( ... )

I'm currently on my library's waiting list to read Witch and Wizard by James Patterson YAY :D

Was TLA the movie good? I've heard murmers from fandom that it's awful...I definitely want to watch the series sometime, I feel like I'm missing out because so many people I know love it to bits.

Lost is always going to be one of my favorite shows, but the last season was pretty 'meh' - it wasn't as awful as some people claim, but it definitely is not as amazing as many fans like to think it is. Basically, the writers used emotional (mainly romantic) ploys to distract viewers from the fact that the final season storyline was stale, dull, and even somewhat ridiculous. Basically, the Lost finale proved to me what Harry Potter's epilogue of doom did: many people don't care about quality storytelling, they just care about the corny happy ending.
Survivor: Villians v Heroes was no masterpiece, but the amount of scheming was just amazing, it was the height of cheap entertainment, so for its genre it was a great season, Lost on the other hand, ( ... )
