Based on a response I made further up, posting a prompt rather than hijacking the thread. Coulson and Calvin's dad seem to have a lot of traits in common. So...

Coulson has plenty of experience in the field of dealing with obnoxious, misbehaving children. Compared to being the parent of one six-year-old Calvin Coulson, taking care of the crazy bunch known as the Avengers is an utter doddle. If only home life was so easy. And if only Calvin knew what his dad really did for a living... well, at least Coulson might score better on his quarterly dad reports.
