...is because he can't see. Mostly he can see shapes and colors, but gamma radiation was not the super serum. It didn't fix Banner's bad eyesight, and a huge, angry, blinded animal? Dangerous, and certainly not capable of telling friend from prey.

Someone figures it out. Whether or not there's a solution is something else entirely.
