Not a full fill, but that prompt about Jarvis talking to Hulk intrigued me.Jarvis… doesn’t get nervous, exactly. Nerves are a human thing, made of adrenaline and sweaty palms and an increased heart rate. He has neither palms nor a heart, nor does he even have a nervous system, so what he is experiencing right now is not properly categorized as ‘nerves

“Mr. Hulk…?”

Jarvis is able to modulate his voice so that he sounds perfectly calm and at ease, something a human would find difficult to do under the circumstances, but he’s still not sure that was the best way to begin. The Hulk whirls around, giant nostrils whuffing in air as through trying to scent out the location of the voice. Jarvis begins again.

“Mr. Hulk, this is Jarvis, Mr. Stark’s assistant. Do you know who I am?”

The Hulk grunts, and Jarvis is running through all the footage of the Hulk he has stored in his database and cross-referencing it with, well, everything, because Sir programmed him to understand quite a lot of different kinds of nonverbal communication, but this is a little outside his experience. Eventually he concludes that the grunt was a cautious affirmative, and goes from there

Oh man, that was awesome. Two of my favorite secondary characters bonding over the absence of my favorite primary character... "Hulk stay with Jarvis"... I'm wibbling!

Awesomedorable. Jarvis' panic and worry manifesting as subroutines, bonding with the Hulk over concern for Tony and missing him -- all perfectly lovely. Also the comparison to talking with drunk-Tony XD

I've been going through and reading fills for the, uh, last week or so, but this is the first to make me break lurker!mode and comment.

Because as someone who lives with Panic Dis order and Anxiety, the subroutine concept rings so very, very true. And Jarvis sending what amounts to a keysmash for a text message is so perfect. And Jarvis may not have these to the point of disorders, but it's such a perfect way to capture the human feelings in a well-described machine analogue that just UGH. PERFECT.

It is cute and perfect and sweet, while at the same time ringing true to me that it's like all my writing!kinks have just been hit and JOY.

I love this to bits.
