something to keep me busy

well, i've finally set some goals for my overall life plan. they're all very superficial or materialistic, but i couldn't think of anything else worthwhile?

what are your goals?

the only non-horrible goal i could come up with for myself was "to be happy", but the things that make me happy are superficial and materalistic!

so, just use the "to be happy" line, it's very mysterious and doesn't sound too bad.

just stupid ones to give me something to do with myself, you know? lose weight. get a fake tan. fix up the house. graduate. get rich. get a mercedes. that's about it.

i think this all comes from deciding to fix up the house i'm in rather than aspire to a new one. so i'll stay there indefinitely, until there's reason to move (which i don't foresee for at least several years). get new floors, fix the walls, etc. so if i graduate and don't have a mortgage or really anything except student loans to pay, maybe i'll get a job that's good enough to get me a mercedes?

i think fixing up your house is a very smart goal, because you're investing in being able to sell it for more money. if you're going to do some DIY things, i would love to help you, because I love fixing up stuff in houses. I offered to help Frank do all sorts of things in his house, but he just ignored me.

you can't have a mercedes unless you get a personalized license plate, preferrably something ridiculous like "P1MPN8TEZ", only with the appropriate amount of characters.

p.s. i hate photoshop and also i cannot find a parrot small enough to fit in the picture :( could you send me the big original, so i can put a big parrot in and then shrink it all?

oh, yes, that would be awesome if i had help. i think i'll have the floors professionally done.. but there's always painting and stuff to be done. also moving things around that i can't really do alone...

i never thought of this as being my house, i just assumed i would go on about my life as everyone does, getting their own place. but it's worked out so that i'm still here, so i might as well accept it and move on.

haha. i find personalized plates annoying, i was thinking of getting some rims that keep spinning when i stop. ;)

sure, which email address do you want me to send the big picture to?

I'd just be happy to have a job.
