I've heard that in Arabic nomadic tribal culture, boys learn to masturbate with a technique that stretches their penises, and it's done religiously. Supposedly, this is why Arab guys are stereotypically large. I dunno...maybe this is just BS, but I've heard it from multiple sources.

Nothing has changed. The porn industry is more popular and has a better selection of models now, and giant wangs have always looked better on camera.

Amateur pictures when you see them online are usually a result of self-selection - people with large dicks are more likely to be willing to show them off on the internet because society values a big dick.

What I find disturbing is your nephew feeling the urge to send you naked pictures of potential dates or fellow fraternity members. I can't imagine wanting to send, or be sent, naked pictures of people by any of my relatives.

I totally agree with you with the fact that there is a better selection of models and people with bigger dicks want to show them off. I don't necessarily find picture sharing all that disturbing. I see some of my male relatives go into bars and check out boobs and ass of women together I don't think that is socially wrong, so why would two gay relatives doing basically the same thing be wrong?

I suspect that it's mainly just that above-average penises are more likely to be visible/available. Also, going by Internet pictures is not necessarily an accurate way of judging the matter, thanks to PhotoShop. Another thing is that males are increasingly expected to be thin/athletic; when guys are overweight, fat builds up on the pubic mound and "buries" part of the penis. So if these guys are mostly skinny, that could affect it as well.
