Name: Bella (Isabella) Swan
Canon Origin/Series: Twilight
School Year/Teaching Position: 6th
Gender: Female
Age: 17

Personality: Bella is a most ordinary type of girl, with average looks. She’s usually quite honest. This is attributed to the fact that she’s a bad liar; her face can give away any emotion that she’s feeling, except for when she’s deep in thought. Bella’s thought pattern is at first glance hard to read, but is actually quite simple. She tends to focus on a single idea or decision for a long time, stressing over the options that could happen because of it. She gets hung up on making decisions, but once she chooses a side in a decision she sticks to it and doesn’t worry about the consequences.

Bella is naturally clumsy, and tends to avoid things that would cause her to fall more than she normally does. For that reason, she doesn’t enjoy sports- just walking through the forest causes her to trip and fall. She can be very complacent and has a long fuse on her temper. She is annoyed by repeated questions, but mostly she can be very calm and focused. Bella is also very smart- she was in an Advanced Placement program in Phoenix and reads Victorian-era novels. But she doesn’t flaunt her knowledge. Bella likes to blend in and be a wallflower more than standing in the spotlight. She doesn’t like having all the attention thrown on her, and would rather hang with lots of people and go unnoticed than be in the spotlight. She is also a bit sarcastic, though most people don’t notice when she’s trying to be.

Brief History in Canon Bella was born to Charlie and Renee Swan in Forks, Washington. But shortly after she was born, Renee deemed the life in that small town too claustrophobic, and left her husband, taking her 6-month old daughter with her. Bella spent most of her childhood just inside of Phoenix’s richer area code, soaking in the sun but still remaining alienated from most of the people in her school. While people at school got new, shiny cars and enjoyed the summer, Bella was sent to visit her father in cloudy Forks. It was boring- eventually, she told Charlie that she would just meet him in California, instead of flying up to where nothing ever changed and wasting her time.

But when Renee found a new beau- Phil Dwyer- and married him, Bella knew it was time to leave Phoenix and the two lovebirds. Phil was traveling with his minor league baseball team, and Renee wanted to travel too. So Bella moved to Forks, meeting a few strange vampire friends and living with her dad, Charlie. I do believe I’ll stop there…right where the books leave off. ^^;

Background (AU!Canon; HP): Bella was a normal British girl, living in the suburbs of London with her eccentric mother, Renee. She grew up with her parents divorced. Her dad, Charlie, lived in Forks, which was a tiny backwards town built in the time of horses and carriages. Every summer, she was forced to endure a visit to her father, which the young Bella hated. It was a backwards town, and she missed the bustle and life of London. On the day of her eleventh birthday, Bella’s mother revealed a very surprising secret: she and her new boyfriend, Phil, were both wizards! And by pulling a few strings, Phil had managed to gain Bella acceptance into a wizarding school in the United States (where the new couple would soon be living). Bella bid good-bye to Charlie and went to the States, where she was treated as an oddity in her new school. Her magic skills were average, and Bella enjoyed the quiet anonymity that comes with that fact. But in her sixth year at school, the United States wizarding academy had to close its doors. It sent its students to various wizarding schools across the world. For Bella, this was back to Britain, and to Hogwarts. It was a new set of challenges, and Bella wasn’t sure exactly what to make of the new school.
