My feelings toward 24 are kind of really similar to yours- I love it, it was a major part of my life, and I was sad to see it end- but I didn't like season 8 all that much. Also, in my world, Michelle Dessler and Tony Almeida's stories ended with Day 4 and they're off living happily ever after somewhere else as well.
This is a really pretty picspam :) I'm always happy to see 24 come up in picspams because it doesn't seem to get enough love on LJ :)

Yes! I had minor issues with 4, 5, and 7, but nothing too major - 6 and 8, on the other hand, were unforgivable. I was pretty involved in the fandom for years but I've had to edit my personal canon so much that it's ridiculous! The show should have ended a long time ago, while it was still on top of it's game.

Tony and Michelle :( I miss them so much. I was hesitantly excited when Tony returned in s7, and it was fine when he was working with Jack, Bill, and Chkoe, but Tony would NEVER have dishonored Michelle's memory like that. Ugh.

I would have to say that my favorite show of all time is Alias. So many characters to adore. I would have put BSG EXCEPT they ruined so many things in the end. Other than that, it had the most potential and so many interesting angles they could have worked. Favorite character right now is still Charles Logan/Gregory Itzin :)
