Oh my God, I just finished reading Twilight last week. Easily one of my favorite books ever.

Yeah, I saw that in your last post. :-)
I was really surprised by how good it was, given that I'd never heard of it before. It was one of about 10 books that I checked out of the library, and it sat around for a while. Once I started reading, though, I was hooked. Can't wait for the sequel!

What's your e-mail address? I don't seem to have it anymore. :-(

yay for sequels! now I have something to look forward to this fall.

my e-mail address is emeraldfire1314@yahoo.com. Is yours still the same?

I hope you're having a good summer!

It is good for your soul to read Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, and I offer you my most hearty congratulations on reading things which are good for your soul.

And which have pineapple jokes. But you won't get to those for many pages yet.

The prospect of pineapple jokes is a happy one indeed.

Seriously, though, I love this book. I can't understand how I never knew about it before now! Any other books you can recommend as being "good for the soul"?

*blink*

That is a question one should never ask of a literature major! That said:

The Kite Runner is excelent. The Pirates! in an Adventure with Scientists is the silliest stuff that ever I heard. And (because all things come in threes) Zorro by Isabelle Allende is a most appealing work of swashbuckling. So, you know, they feed different parts of the soul.
