This is a view of the pond at The Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, a few miles from our home. It’s beautiful there, peaceful and serene, with rolling hills and gorgeous views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Hubby and I go there to hike, or to picnic by the French Broad River. You can see the Vanderbilts’ mansion in the background of the photo-very “Downton Abbey-ish!”

Oh, I would love to just sit in that boat with a good book. It really does look peaceful and serene :-)
