1991
Avery Gillian Kellaway was born to Matthew Kellaway, a muggle who works as an electrician, and Davina Cullen, a witch working for the Office of Misuse of Muggle Artifacts at the Ministry of Magic, on the 1st of August, 1991. She is an only child and her parents love her dearly.
1994/95
Avery's mother was killed by Death Eaters, and her grandparents abducted. Her father fled the Wizarding World, bringing Avery along.
1998-2002
- Attended Muggle primary school.
- Didn't know she is a witch.
2002/2003
- Receives her letter from Hogwarts and was dumbfounded. She then learnt that her mother had not died of a Muggle disease, but was in fact murdered.
- Goes to Hogwarts and is sorted into Gryffindor.
- Meets Alysha Dark (alysha-dark) & Luciano Delarco (luciano_delarco) at the sorting ceremony.
- Bumps into Jesseca Canet (jessecanet) in their dorm but didn't become close to her due to the lack of social skills between them.
- Is taunted by a bunch of Slytherins, one of which is Emilia Hawthorn
(emiliahawthorn), for being a bookworm and a half-blood. Rescued by Trefor Llewellyn (trefor), a 4th year Gryffindor then, who casted an antler jinx on Emilia. Starts hanging out with Trefor and the two become quite close.
- Her father buys her a Nimbus 2000 and she often goes flying on the Quidditch pitch to vent out her frustrations even though she wasn't on the team. She meets Soren Sigurd
(sorensigurd), a then-3rd-year Gryffindor while flying and had a row with him for interrupting her. After the-not-so-cheerful first meeting, she was won over by his charm and the two became friends. She develops a secret crush on him at the end of third year.
- Also meets Bran Rhys (branrhys), who is Soren's best friend and someone who treats her like a younger sister.
- Meets Arisu Ryusaki (arisu_ryusaki) in the Gryffindor common room while Ari was trying to get her to stop burying her head in a book and get a life. Ari occasionally tries to get Avery to open up and so would tell her funny (although not necessarily true) stories about her life.
- Overhears a comment about mothers made by Charlie Davis (charlie-davis) and wasn't too happy about it, but the two are slowly becoming better friends. Jacqueline Zhang (jackie_zhang) sees this happening and tries to console Avery. Jack also showed her one of the quiet, secluded spots on the grounds, which has since been one of the places she goes to when she needs time to herself.
2003/04
- Starts 2nd year.
- Meets Winnie McAdams (winnie_mcadams) as an ickle firstie when she was wandering around the corridors looking a little lost. She had been distracted by Peeves and was found by Avery who was on her way back to the common room. Avery helped kickstart Winnie's interest in Quidditch when she patiently answered all her questions and they became very good friends.
- Finds the lake side to be an extremely comfortable spot to sit and think by herself. It was there that she met Gabriel Lucas (gabe_lucas), a fifth year Hufflepuff. After an introduction he merely sat down with her and stared out into the lake. He had been a big-brother figure to her ever since.
- Goes flying one day without heeding the warning from her housemates that the wind was too strong, and fell down from her broom. Spent the night in the hospital wing, where she met Juhi Saraf (juhi-saraf), a 3rd-year Ravenclaw then. They talked throughout the night and was amazed by how much they have in common.
- Meets Luciano again in the hallways and become friends as Luciano is less awkward around girls now.
- Is reprimanded by her father for not doing well in one of her tests and lost the letter. While looking for the letter, she makes a mess out of the girls' dorm and snaps at Jesse who later saw the letter lying under her bed. They made up and became closer ever since.
2004/05
- Starts 3rd year at Hogwarts. Takes up Divination, Muggle Studies and Arithmancy but later dropped Divination because she was told she "does not possess the Inner Eye" which made her furious. Meets Erik Cohen (erikcohen) in the common room while fussing over her Divination homework. They became fast friends and often reminisced about life in the Muggle world together.
- Becomes closer to Trefor and notices his caring nature. They dated for close to 3 months but broke up due to their differences. Both decide to remain close friends, because frankly, she thought he's a better friend than a boyfriend anyway.
- Is surprised by Zoe Clarke's (zoe_clarke) hostility towards her and decided to just stay away from the girl.
- Meets Fionnabhair McFinn (family_mcfinn) in the common room, while the younger Gryffindor was trying to sing some loud Irish tune. Together they founded SSS. Also, through SSS she meets Andra Owen (andraleigh), a 6th year Gryffindor.
- Stumbles into Sebastian Rivera (sebbyrivera), a then 5th year Ravenclaw, in the library while looking for a book on potions. Sebby was bringing a load of books and did not see Avery. After the encounter they frequently see each other in the library, and would discuss their work with one another.
- Gets to know Letty Lycroft (letty-lycroft), a 4th year Hufflepuff, through Gabe.
