The Watchmen movie is pretty much the book, like Sin City was the book. They streamlined the story a bit. I am glad they did that. The pirate story and all the bullshit going on at the newsstand would have made the movie longer without adding anything. The giant alien squid does not happen, but a much more internally consistent action happens

Agreed.

Saw it last Sunday and now regret not seeing it opening day so we could have discussed on Saturday.

Rorschach was awesome on screen, possibly even better than in the comics, where he was my favorite character.
