I've been getting cross about this all week. The world just doesn't except that even with all our medicine *gasp* sometimes people just die. As you say in this case eveyone has been *desperate* to put some 'seedy' spin on it, every report has pointed out that he died 'after returning from a GAY club'. They've revelled in the presence of the 'third man' - know, maybe he came back for a drink or does visting someones room at night alway = sex (if so then I've been scammed repeatedly through my life). Ever since they said 'natural causes' and a that the problem was something to do with him having fluid on his lungs I've been waiting for some paper to scream 'HE DIED FROM FLUID ON THE LUNGS - THE FLUID BEING SPUNK THAT HE THEN DROWNED IN AFTER SUCKING OFF A LOCAL FOOTBALL TEAM TO SATE HIS INSATIABLR GAY NEEDS'

It's fucking bollocks.

I do so agree. I like people because they are likeable not because of their sexual preferences. We have to rememebr that this woman was writing in that inflammatory way to boost sales of the newspaper and keep her job. AND it is expected, these days, that the anonymous "common folk" like you and me only want to read about sex and sexual behaviour. We haven't got the inlellect for anything more you see.
Not only was she crass and ignorant, sexist and gay bashing but she was a condescending twirp too!
I am female and 63 I have earned the right to say that to her!
