Well Lent has come and that means Lenten promises. I look around and see people doing things that I find are amazing. Amanda is once again giving up meat for the entire Lenten season and (GASP!) Yay for cool lenten promises. Although truth be told, I thought your spiritual journal promise was pretty awesome. I mean, it's easy to have a passing thought and then push it to the back of your mind. But writing all of your thoughts down and then meditating on them? That's really scary. I mean, think of the power you're giving God. It's a lot harder to ignore Him when you have everything right in front of you, written out in black and white (or whatever colors your LJ are). You can no longer mentally swat Him away like you would an annoying fly if things get too challenging. And we all know how God loves to challenge us when we give Him the means to do so.
