aha so i thought this was going to be a response to how oddly similar the plot of avatar was to the movie pocahontas. but this is interesting as well.

surprisingly, through the cliches are what make most critics rage more. I actually didn't mind them, because they made sense to a point. And they weren't TWILIGHT terrible, just odd story blips that could have been fixed, to me at least.

This is pretty much my reaction to all hollywood plundering and sneering of good writing/story and animation and churning into live action adaptations resulting in either SUPER EFFECTS OVERLOAD to make up for unfortunate implications and/or racefail.

Including the rather rage inducing acceptance that a majority of us in fandoms tend to drift to, BECUZ CARTOONS ARE 4 BABIES AND THAT'S JUST THE WAY THINGS ARE.

I'm dumb and I love the pretty as much as the next person who loves looking at pretty. But sometimes pretty can't cover up certain things. ; __ ;

regarding last airbender too, for the sake of my friends who are excited over movie, I don't want to be a fussy spoil sport, and or at least live in a medium where I am aware and inform myself of the issues yet enjoy the nice moments and pretty (Like in PTAF and Cameravatar) ....but for airbender, I don't know ...WHY THIS IS SO HARD FOR ME. D:
