Much has happened since I last put pen to paper, many thoughts and questions now add to the sea I have already built up. And there is no relief in sight.

In truth I do not know where to begin, my thoughts are such a mess, shoulders are aching with tension-considering our current predicament it is no surprise. We are at sea, how we managed to arrive here exactly I do not know, we woke on this boat and have been forced to sail towards its original goal. For what purpose I do not know. All we have encountered so far is strife. Winged beasts, sea creatures, pirates and navy, all have attempted harm the last doing our vessel some damage.

The situation is unpleasant, but it is not the most pressing thing on my mind.

[ he taps the quill against the page a few times, a small line adding to the words as the ship jerks a little with the waves…. ]

Again I curse myself for wishing Malik were here also, it is at a time like this that I yearn for his council. My most trusted brother and close friend, I am positive he would have something to say about the offer I was posed. And the rashness of which I tried to accept it.

Old habits die hard; I am a changed man however we both know some things are not gone forever.

Even now my answer remains the same, even now I would be willing to pledge my life to her cause, to become one of her Dragonsworn. I have thought on it, how it would change my life here, but what is my life currently? I wake and venture to the library to spend the day, glancing over the journal all the way, if I do not spend it in town. My nights are spent in similar ways. Sometimes I venture towards the mountains, finding hidden places to meditate or train. Others I venture towards Alexstrasza’s tree.

The Assassin Order is of no use here, there are no Templars to be fought, no chance of man’s free will of being ripped from them. I cannot live a normal life; it is something I do not know how to do.

This would give me purpose, something to work towards.

[ there is another pause in his writing. ]

Yes, Malik would certainly be lecturing me if he knew. But her cause is not all that different from our own and she is a being worthy of my loyalty.

[ tap tap, another large curvy line… stupid boat. another jerk and he closes this journal, putting it, his quill and ink away in his robes. ]
