"We over paid for a sub par meal so the kids could have a hoodsie cup."
That Ernie--he's a smart one. I never did understand the whole kid's meal thing, except from a marketer's perspective. Whether it's a Happy Meal or the one at the 99, what you're really paying for is for your kid to eat two bites of the 'real food' so they can get to the prize. I hate kid's meals. When my older two were little, there really wasn't much in the way of kid's menues at restaurants. By the time they were more plentiful, they'd never even have considered anything on them. The younger two more often than not shared an adult dinner.

Kid's meals suck... we too have found that for our kids 99% of the time, getting an entree they'll eat is the best bet... Mexican is always a favorite with us.. because of it's inexpensive nature, and they seem to provide the right portion sizes for their kids meals and do include a veg.... I never understand how places think that Mac and Cheese shouldn't get a veg??? or at a minimum a fruit.. sheesh! Glad your daughter liked the show... I love when you can see how entranced they are by something.... it's fun to see things through their eyes...
