Great chapter, although it felt a bit short. Please let Justin out-snob Malfoy? That would rock. I suspect Harry and Dean will be getting Hermione a library trunk for her birthday. I loved the gift Hermione and Dean gave Harry, and appreciated you including Amanda's drawing as part of it.

Actually, it's about 500 words longer than what I was writing per chapter when I started! And you're not the only one to say a chapter felt short when it was actually longer. I'd love to know what it is about the writing/chapter that does it.

I have started a draft of the conversation. I want to try and have Justin and his dad win the verbal battle without it being too over-the-top, but we'll see.

Yes, once I decided I needed a reminder of Dean's color-changing skills, the idea to use Amanda's art just came. At least one person over on FF.net has made the connection already.
