I am criminally obsessed with Sherlock. I can't even deal with the flail. I want to guess your ship but I don't want to ruin it. I feel like I know though. Are you current? I really liked last night's episode.
I'm current enough. Mr. Bead frowned on my downloading the full episodes when we're getting it in two weeks (I had got it in my head that there would be cuts for commercials because I forgot that it's PBS running "Sherlock", not BBC America). But Tumblr is giving me quite enough to go on with.
Yeah, you probably could guess my ship - anyone who knows me reasonably well can probably figure it out.
I've only watched seasons 1-2 so far, so I'm avoiding spoilers.
I liked Molly, and felt quite bad for her when Sherlock brushed her off once. Accordingly I felt better when he made amends ... I've forgotten the details, but I seem to recall that he *did* backstep and placate her. She's so nice and helpful, it hurt to think that she was being 'used'.
I don't know if Sherlock is a worthy romantic interest ... he's, what, a sociopath? Someone with no normal feelings, whatever the word is ... but I admit it would be very nice to see someone, Molly, find a niche there with him, become someone special to whom Sherlock reacts differently.
You're right about Sherlock and the difficulties of love/romance, which means he's going to be a poor match for anyone. Whether it's bromance to romance with John like such a big part of the fandom or with Irene or whoever, one has to take into account that Sherlock is a prickly bastard
( ... )
She and Sherlock have had some long amount of time to get used to one another ...
Like another fictional couple we know? :-)
I do so love the 'friends becoming more' motif. Although the label of 'friend' is shaky with Sherlock. Which perhaps presents more payoff for fanfic.
it didn't take much disapproval from the rest of the group (and there was quite a bit) to push Sherlock into apologizing to her.
Ah, I remember a bit more now, thanks.
Yes, I was quite engrossed in that scene ... feeling bad for Molly, then a bit placated when Sherlock apologised.
I'd forgotten the ending of the second season - it's been so long :-) - I'll have to watch it again before kicking off the third. Anyway, forgotten Molly's involvement there. Yes, there's a lot of *potential* there for their relationship to flower or grow, nice.
I agree that there are plenty of parallels that can be drawn between Molly and Hermione, especially along the lines of always, 100% being there for him no matter how indifferent or oblivious he is.

Well, as I said, I'm getting enough bits and pieces from Tumblr that I can wait.
