Unfortunately, the Potrero area is
on fire. The area between
Ramona and the ranch is on fire as well. For the moment the winds are pushing the fire west and south, away from the ranch, and for them I am hopeful that it doesn't change. Of course there are a lot more people in Ramona with a lot more to loose than my aunt and uncle

They wait until the last minute to make people leave, and it's got to be pretty fracking extreme for them to issue an evac order. They also start working really really hard when it threatens neighborhoods.
What bothers me is the smoke. Makes me all sneezy. For me the costs of living in rural CA is constant fire threat. I want to move somewhere wetter. After gardening here last year I am completely convinced that we have a major water problem that most people aren't paying attention to.

Right now there are large portions of trees blowing across my roof and landing in the back yard. Trees are down all over the place, traffic signals out, transformers exploding. It's crazy over here.
