I've decided to produce at least 30 seconds of animation this summer, hence the post title. With another, larger project in mind, the plan has settled on a trailer and will consist of multiple parts:
- Modeling: I will produce the final version of the robots in 3D but I have already started on clay prototypes. I'll post some step-by-step pictures of him next.
- Filming and Composition: I want to use a real-life setting (via chroma-keying masking, a.k.a. green-screen, and camera-tracking) so as to avoid the potentially greater labor of a suitable 3D background.
- Sound Effects: Totally new territory for me. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
- Scripting: (new) Even with two robots fighting, it will probably have commentary and will be choreographed.
That's the basic outline for now!
