Progress Report

From my last post, nothing much has changed.

I'm still a NEET, I'm still broke, and it's still hot.

But I did manage to catch up with the manga of NuraMago (Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan) and Ao no Futsumashi (Blue Exorcist).

My thoughts...

NuraMago kinda reminds me of Reborn, actually. Haha.

Pinapanood ko yung anime ngayon sa Animax, at talagang nagustuhan ko siya. Ang problema ko lang ay parang hindi masyadong nabigyan ng pansin/focus/backstory yung ilang prominent na yokai tulad ni Kurotabo at Kubinashi.

Speaks of Reborn, ano ba talaga ang status ng anime? Hiatus ba o tapos na talaga? Pinapalabas na kasi ng ABS-CBN ang remaining episodes (today, they aired ep 184), at nagspe-speculate kami ng kaibigan ko kung magkakaroon kaya ng "match airing" ng bagong eps ng Reborn (that is, kung nasa hiatus mode siya).

Kubinashi's backstory was revealed in the Hagoromo Gitsune arc which will be featured in the second season of the anime. As for Kurotabou's backstory... it is being revealed in the manga at the moment.

I think the reason why it took so long for them to get their own backstory is because Rikuo's development mattered more. So it came first. But Shiibashi is slowly giving way to the other characters. I guess he wanted to give a slightly mysterious feel to them before he revealed the secrets of their pasts.

Reborn's anime status is on hold. It will probably be back for another season once the manga gets far. After all, they weren't completely "planning" to end it. Rumors spread before that it would be back by this year's spring, but I guess that's not true. Maybe next year?
