About the pet rat... there's been a few at the Humane Society the last few times I've been there.

You go girl! I've been doing the same on my LJ and I think it helps to have people be aware of what you're doing so they don't accidently sabbotage you. (i.e. "hey, let's go out for ice cream and brownies!!")

Keep up the awesome work! And way to find "non-food-related" rewards for yourself!
