I HAVE A JOB!!!!!!!!! I had an interview yesterday with Worcestershire PCT. Their Speech and Language Therapy (SLT) service is provided by a department called Worcestershire Specialist Children's Services. I read and re-read the Icarus patern, and realised that it pretty clearly said that they only used part of the skein and so I have more than enough. I'm midway through a baby blanket for my cousin's newborn but as soon as that is over I shall be casting on!

I really want to do it - I missed out last year because I couldn't balance it with being a finalist. I keep musing it over, at the moment I'm thinking I'll do it. What's the worst that can happen!?

The worst that could happen is that you write a lot more than you thought you would/could, end up with some good writing to edit or continue to work on but don't hit the 50k. That's not so terrible, is it?? I say go for it! Then you and I can moan and groan all month on LJ!!
