Let's Talk Edgers

The sidewalks near my house are getting rather narrow, as the grass creeps in from the edges. A month or so ago, I bought myself a new electric edger (Black & Decker Edge Hog) from amazon.com, to handle the sidewalks in front of my house and perhaps my immediate neighbors

It kills the plant and makes it easier to pull it up. Or you can go with chemicals. Or wait until after a good soaking rain, that makes it much easier.

On a similar topic, does anyone out there know of good tools or techniques for getting rid of the greenery in the cracks of the sidewalk?
