A few weeks ago I ordered 3 copies of Loreena McKennitt's "Nights From the Alhambra" double cd and dvd from Barnes & Noble.

I have to confess I have never heard anything by Loreena McKennitt... Oh the joys of ordering stuff from overseas! Can't be helped, sometimes you just have to when you want something bad enough.

Your bf cleans? o_o You lucky girl! Don't tell me he cooks as well...

Ok then, I won't tell you that. I'll just say I don't cook most nights, and the nights I don't cook we hardly ever eat take away. :)

Loreena was once described as the Queen of Hobbit pop, though I'm not sure that's an entirely appropriate name. She started out as traditional Celtic, but has followed those roots back and incorporates various influences from different cultures that have in the long ago past had some link to the Celts.
If you'd like to hear snippets of her songs go to http://www.quinlanroad.com/homepage/index.asp?LangType=1033 and then go to 'Explore the Music'. By clicking on any of the album titles (in chronological order) you can read the lyrics as well as hear excerpts.

I realised a little while ago (while watching the Loreena dvd) that when we were down in Melbourne you might have heard some of the latest one (An Ancient Muse) that Luna bought and was playing.
