I got the following Bingo card from getyourwordsout. I have never done a writing bingo thing before, but I thought I would give it a try this year. Not sure if any lines are speaking to me yet, but we'll see!
Interesting collection of traits. I was thinking of requesting a card like this one, but I am already juggling another card and a challenge, so I just want to finish most of those two first.
I like the GYWO ones because, as a gen writer, they are pretty open ended. Many of the bingo cards I have seen are pretty focused on shippy and/or mature themes and while I will make the occasional foray into that, I generally don't want a whole bingo card of it!
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. Does this mean you write fic for each square? Does it have to be one fandom only, or can you write different prompts for different fandoms?
The idea is that you write at least 500 words for a square and then you do various lines, X's, T's and other shapes with it. They have a whole "belt" system, culminating with writing the whole card. I am not interested in that, I don't think, but we'll see.
GYWO is just a writing community. The stories can be any fandom or original work. So, that is pretty cool. I have a couple different original stories I am working on this year. Another one of my goals for this year is to work on writing flashfic because I think it is good practice for writing tight scenes that are part of a longer work.
Thank you for the explanation. :) Have you made up your mind what to do? Write more OCs maybe? I hope you will post your flashfics, so we can all read them. :)
Oh, lots more OCs. I am actually trying to figure out where to post original fic. Maybe on Wattpad. Original fic does not get found on AO3. I have some flashfic and also I am working on longer things. :) )
