Okay, NOW there is a river in our backyard (when I say backyard, you must understand that we have a 5 acre back yard!). It's totally flowing. Elijah was just out there floating down the creek (the *new* creek) in our backyard! We are all *so* amazed! If I had a digital camera I would take pics for you all, but I don't. :) I wish you could see it ( Read more... )

But of course I saw you guys! And right when you slowed down at the end of our driveway, I freaked out and ran outside and waved! The whole house was in an uproar! :D We thought you guys were driving around to see how high the water had come, so we all ran to the car (figuring that you'd turn around after the bridge) and drove up there, but you were gone! :( But we decided to drive around and see how things looked, and we went up your road, too! We did see that bridge flooded over (ours was also flooded over a few hours ago). And we met some of your neighbors, and girl and boy, whom we thought were Sarah and Joel at first. The girls name was Saran. I think they're the ones who you said were Catholic, or Mormen? With all the children? They live in the house that looks like a little women house. :) And then of course we drove by your home, not intending to come in, but hoping to give you all a wave, and Joel and Sam were near the horse fence, looking at the water, I guess, and we honked and waved, and yelled, but they didn't see us. ;| ( ... )

cool/weird/scary at the same time. :-) I absolutely love rain, but if it threatens your house it turns scary. :-)

But it's fun, for a while anyways. Floating down the river sounds fun. :-)

Sounds like you are getting a real deluge. Hope it doesn't get into your house. During the yrs. I've been in FL, we've had a couple of really bad rains that flood the roads out. Very poor drainage here.
5 acre backyard! If I go 20 feet in my backyard I run into the neighbor's fence. Someday I want a big backyard.

Oh yes, 5 acre backyards are lovely, especially ours! :) Someday I hope you get one. :)
So when it's flooded, has it gotten in your house? When this flood was coming, Daddy said how people in Florida would think this was no big deal, and I thought of asking you about that. :) I have good news though! But I won't tell you here, I'm going to do another post. :)
