Sometimes I wonder whether I love shows that I started to watch when they were over (or mostly over) more (Buffy and Avatar the last airbender), is that I avoided all of broken expectations and most of the fandom drama

Have finally watched it all! And thus went looking for your posts. :)

And I am genuinely BAFFLED that apparently people are complaining? I mean, sure, if your ship didn't become canon that sucks, but... it's basically a perfect show.

Pacing, story lines, character arcs, themes, the art, everything. I don't know if I'll ever love it like I do other things, but it's a masterclass in How To Write a Show.

Yep. I've been baffled for the most part of the year about it. It's such a perfectly constructed story, where all the part work together and separately, and yet... there is a really bitter divide - still!
