I wouldn't have imagined that less than 240 ml of coffee could possibly make such a mess ..
.. except that, in attempting to catch the dropped cup, I nearly succeeded -- in such a way as to spray coffee across the room, such that the cup hit the floor before the coffee hit everything.

Two of my friends, both under five feet tall, once lived in a hobbit hole. I cherished them dearly. They must have loved me, too, to invite me over. My natural grace, in close quarters, makes for property damage. (I consider that a stochastic event, but not everybody is so philosophical).

Not sure what a hobbit hole is, as it relates to a real life abode.

I meant hobbit hole generically, as in "any human habitation with minimal clearance and round windows." That particular manifestation was an ancient trailer that probably never trailed after anything. My hobbity friends made very efficient use of their space (except for whenever I was around to create more space inadvertently).
