So we had our next project. Jane wants to know about her life; she wants to get her life back. I suspect that means she needs her history, her past living to get her "intention" back, to learn what she wants to do.
My family has scrapbooks full of our lives. I hope you have the same to be able to help Jane with this most difficult task.
I am thrilled to see that she is progressing. That conversation (while not completely clear) shows clear progress.
I will continue to send you both well wishes and strength vibes.
Thank you so much, dear enelya_oronar, for your well wishes & strength vibes. And yes, we have what amounts to scrap books, though much more heavily freighted with pictures than with letters, announcements, etc., though there is a smattering of that. The main issue, now, is finding the time to pull together a narrative, which may help pull together Jane's narrative. It's progressing, but slowly.
But more on that in a later post.
Yes, the conversations aren't completely clear -- even with my editing them down some. But that's important, for me, in that it captures where Jane's mind is, now. Perhaps given that, the unclarity may be forgiven.
Please tell Jane that she does more after her accident, and has more will to improve and live than some people without head injuries, and who are decades younger than her, do in their everday lives. It's just harder for her, but she still keeps going.
I shall certainly tell Jane, dear super_pan. She needs to keep hearing things like that, not only from me, but from others as well. And I hope things go well with you, your husband, and your still fairly new baby. (Fairly new at least according to my lights.)
Simon turned one year old about two weeks ago! Next time you have time(if ever, I will NOT be offended if you don't get to it!), check out my lj; I posted pictures of his party! We are all doing great!
If you are a voyeur, it's because I've seduced you into this role. Or rather, Jane's drama has seduced us all into this.
Ah, but of course, this isn't voyeurism. A voyeur looks but doesn't join in the reality -- at most, the voyeur spins off into fantasy, his own, alone, fantasy taken, indeed, ripped from another's unwilling reality. To join with another's struggle for health, in a deeply felt way, that's empathy. Indeed, that's healing, too, or it can be.
Thanks for your caring & commenting, and *hugs* returned.

that was amazing to read. i feel a little like a voyeur, and yet am transfixed, watching the mechanics of the growth and hard work for both of you.
