Ah, yes, and you have no idea how strange this stranger is getting.
I haven't forgotten the one chapter I need to finish for the Christmas story, nor the other story. But it's clear I'm not going to have much time before August. I didn't mention, above, that I've been asked to contribute a major article in one of my specialities for a anniversary journal. I agreed to that before this other stuff came through. so like the proverbial bad penny, I'll be back.
Sounds like heavy-duty stuff. I'm sure you'll do great by those kids, though. Nice to hear from you and Jane again! I look forward to hearing her news.
Actually, June, we're doing really well, given all the things that have happened. We both have our good & bad days, especially Jane. But after the fall, we've had some awfully good luck.
Happy birthday coming up, I think. 18 again? You doing well? Still speaking with your daughter? (Haven't heard from my son in ages. *sigh* He & his wife are divorcing after about 2 years, fortunately, with no kids involved.)
Oh, I'm so glad you posted! I was thinking about you the other day and meant to email you to check up. Glad things are well and you're making progress. God bless you for picking up the slack in the MH system.
God bless you for picking up the slack in the MH system.
I think you'll find that most of us, at least those who have even minimal consciences, are doing our bit here & there. I wouldn't confuse this with "picking up the slack in the MH system" -- that's more than I can even grasp, let alone do. Thanks for your thoughts, though. And if God has any spare blessings, the folks I'm working with need them so much more than do I, bless them -- kids, families, soldiers & their families for all they have & are going through.
Things going well for you & yours? Killed any of your kids yet? Or the people at your kids' schools? One of the good things about being over 1000 miles from our kids -- the temptation to kill is lower. (Excepting Les, and there -- yes, definitely, God should bless her for all she's doing. We couldn't survive, literally, without her. Actually, God should send her a husband, a real life-partner -- that's the blessing I want most for her.)
Hooray! I was thinking of you and you posted! Which is great of you to do, because you sound a little busy these days. I'll be thinking of you and your family and your patients.
