Okay, one of Shuyin's little bastard-like tricks is that he can possess people. Since he's a thousand year old spirit, his hatred and vengeance have lingered in anguish in the Den of Woe, due to his memories and everything being preserved by Pyreflies. He is so consumed in rage, agony, sorrow, anger, and despair, that he actually consumed the remaining Fayth on Spira, having them fall into darkness and summon Dark Aeons. Thus, as a result of his suffering and vengeance, he can haunt as well as possess those who are close to him, physically or mentally.
What does this mean for you? He could possess you over the internet. It wouldn't be that hard for him, considering that the internet and DDD are a nexus of sorts that connect people. He could easily find a way to put himself through that and take over your muse.
He won't do so unless you provoke him, or he finds your character useful somehow in helping him awaken Vegnagun, an old machina that's pretty much got a bigass cannon that can destroy all of Spira in one go. 'Cause, well- that's what he wants to do, destroy all of Spira. To provoke him, you'd have to insult him enough, or insult him about Lenne, his girlfriend. Then he'll just get pissed and possess you, no questions asked. As to what he'd do afterwards, we can discuss whatever angle you'd like to take.
So, just be reminded that, if possessed, Shuyin is going to harm your character (or those close to you) if you anger him. Or, he'll use you to get something he needs. He'll release you once he thinks his job is done. You can tell me whether your character wants to keep their memories of him possessing them or not, either is fine with me. It creates more drama that way. 8D
