Nu... We've been wondering where you've been. Your pets are here with us. We've been watching them.

[And almost on cue, the orange tabby jumps into view, getting in the way of the picture feed. He gives a meow at Thirteen at that point. And admittedly there's a smile that's in his voice as he gently scratches between the cat's ears.]

Hey, come on there. I'm trying to talk to your Mom.

...Understood. [So they're still with them, as she suspected. And Litchi responded, too, so... maybe she'll just pick them up later. Or ask them to drop the pets off. She'll have to think about that.]

... [She doesn't say anything in response to Tata's shenanigans for now, however; rather, she just opts to listen and watch the picture feed. It's kind of nice to see that he's taken a liking to Thirteen, considering how much of a scaredy cat he tends to be. And... well, she's missed the little guy, admittedly. Even just hearing and seeing him through the journals is kind of nice.]

[Tata seems to melt a bit into the head scratching, which only leads for Thirteen to smile more openly. But after a moment, Thirteen angles his head a bit more to look more straight at the camera.]

Both the cats are doing well, and the tartar's just fine too. Did you want to come get them? I'm sure they'd all be happy to see you again.

[There's a small delay before she replies again - looks like someone was busy writing a response to Litchi.]

A meeting for returning the subjects is... already being arranged. Currently awaiting confirmation of suggested time.

[She's definitely going to be happy to see them again, that's for sure. It feels kind of weird to not have her pets with her at the apartment.]

[Oh, Nu. Why so adorable sometimes. Also thank god she wants the tartar back.]

All three of them are still with us and doing well. [There's a bit of a pause in the writing before she continues. Litchi is all too wary of running into Yuber again if she takes these pets over. It's one thing if it's herself, but she doesn't want to have Dave helping her bring over the tartar and put him in danger.]

You're certainly welcome anytime to come by to pick them up. Or we could meet you somewhere if you'd prefer?

Understood. [It's reassuring to hear they're fine, to say the least. And the pause in writing goes completely unnoticed for now.

As for picking them up or meeting up somewhere... ν-13's honestly not comfortable with the idea of leaving the house at the moment. Not because of what's happened during that experiment, but more she's still a bit cautious about possibly being attacked again.

After a short pause, though, she'll finally write a response to the question, although not before adding a stronger filter.]

Meeting somewhere is [...] preferred. Suggested location: the crossroad north of Community Building 6.

[It's a bit far from their house, but frankly, she's not comfortable with wandering much further away on her own right now. She could ask Yuber to teleport her, but...

...frankly, she doesn't really want to do that right now.]

[Nu, that is a very long way to carry two cats and a tartar. Litchi's not all that concerned about the cats -- she's got more than enough experience with cats -- but she knows that terrarium is heavy.

Still. It's better than having Yuber teleport into her house to pick them up.]

We can certainly bring them by later. Is there a specific time that would be best for you?

[It is, and she's aware of that, but it's better than risking getting attacked on the way to their house or back to her own apartment. Especially that last one - she'd really rather not risk having her pets get hurt.

There's a small delay as she debates the answer to that question. The odds of anyone potentially dangerous being around outside are lower later in the day, but it's probably not a good idea to meet up too late, either.]

Is [ ... ] 8pm acceptable?

[That should be more than enough time to transport the pets there while not being too late in the day, but still late enough that there shouldn't be too many people around. ...She hopes, anyway.]

[...Of all the things, this is probably the most confounding feeling Adell's had since the AU. Nu-13, normally someone who's considered dangerous and destructive, someone he's been warned about by basically Nami, Noel, and Ragna, reaching out to her "family" like this.

...In the Shift, Adell had adored Nu. She was his niece, and her and Noel were his favorites of Terra's brood. He remembered the times he and Nu shared, happily. Trading stories, advice, and just general good cheer. She had spied on his proposal to Charle, and was undeniably happy for them. It was all... so surreal, unbelievable ( ... )

[Adell. Her uncle, right? One of them, anyway. And easily her favorite of the three, no less. Back then, she really liked him - spending time with him was fun, as strange as it seems in hindsight, now that her normal memories are back. But even if it's strange now... what felt at the time was real, wasn't it? It was based on false memories, sure, but...

...There's no denying that at the time, she really was fond at him. And she was happy to spend time with him, happy for him when he'd proposed to that girl and she accepted - for someone who, under normal circumstances, was an acquaintance who helped deal with Hazama and who she'd fought alongside with at the battledome at best and a nuisance - if a powerful one - who showed up at the hot springs at the wrong time at worst.

When she answers, her usual robotic monotone remains, but there's a faint hint of something else in her voice. It's barely audible, but there seems to be an underlying tone of what almost sounds a bit like relief in it.]

[...It is. He can gather that much. And that slight hint of... relief isn't really lost on Adell, either.]

...I admit. I'm a little surprised to hear from you. But... I'm glad you're all right. Relatively speaking, of course.

[He can't know how hard this is for her. He can only guess, given how confused her entry was, and the expression in the doodle. He could only guess she was... lonely, maybe.]

[The first part is more or less something she expected to hear. But the rest...

Excuse the slightly delayed response, Adell. Someone's... still not sure how to handle this.]

...Glad...? [She knnows what that word means, of course, but it's still surprising to hear. If only because that's... really not something she expected anyone in her former family to say.]

[And Yuber is definitely glad to hear sounds of someone else home. Since he didn't hear the door, he can only assume it was Nu dropped off and does head to her room to make sure.

And he does see her cuddling the plushie, which makes him glad he did take the time to get her a replacement for it. He would have tried to replace some of the other items, but really that one was the easiest for him to replace.

But since it seems like Nu doesn't want to talk, he'll just go ahead and quietly leave her alone for now.]

[ν-13 probably won't catch on that it's just a replacement unless he tells her, but it's obvious that she's pretty glad that it's here. Having at least something from that time remain is... a bit calming, admittedly.

Nonetheless, it's probably a good idea that he's leaving her be for the time being. Odds are high that she wouldn't have reacted well if he had stayed.

Still, he'll get his chance to speak to her eventually - specifically, once she's finished speaking to people over the journal. That's when she'll finally leave her room again, even if the main reason is that she's planning to go pick up the pets.

While she won't initiate a conversation herself, it does at least seem as if she might be a bit more willing to talk than earlier today. It certainly couldn't hurt to try to speak to her now that some time passed since she returned, right?

...She also still seems to be carrying the plushie with her. Make of that what you will.]

[He's going to avoid mentioning that he went and got a replacement if he can. It may be a small lie, but if it makes her happy, then he'll let it stay that way.

But mostly, he's concerned about if she is all right. It's not exactly uncommon for someone to return and not be themselves. She looks all right, but not all the effects are obvious.] Are you all right? I'm sorry about leaving the pets, but I felt they'd take better care of them.

[And that last part is very true. Yuber knows nothing of taking care of living creatures.]

[Not mentioning that is definitely a wise decision. Pointing out that it's a replacement would likely just worsen her mood again.

She doesn't answer immediately, but if the fact she freezes up once he starts speaking is any indication, she's listening, at the very least.

...Is he actually apologizing for that? Wow. That's... not something she expected him to say right now, frankly.]

[This is the first time one of his ex-family has sent a message in his direction. This is the first time he's heard of any of them since those days, in fact (except Selphie, of course). But he's spent the last few days catching himself thinking about them, wondering how he'd react to seeing them again. Believing that remembering those happy moments would hurt too much to reach out to them.

He was wrong. Reach out he does.]

...I find that eating a box of the bakery's croissants by myself is a shame and a terrible waste of croissants. Would you not agree?

[Cecil. Her... father, was it? Or "papa", as she called him at the time. ...It's a bit odd to think about having parents during that time. She doesn't recall ever meeting her parents under normal circumstances - she's not even sure if she has them. It wouldn't be that surprising if she didn't.

Either way, it was a completely new concept for her. One she admittedly didn't mind. And she liked her father a lot, didn't she? Enough that part of the reason she picked up swordplay was because of him, even if her recollection of that is... fuzzy at best.

There's a small delay before she finally gets around to answering - one that actually isn't simply because she's unsure what to say, but also because she's taking a moment to think about what he wrote.]

...Croissants?

[...okay, so maybe most of that went over her head because she's unsure about that word. Food isn't something she really has a lot of data on, and she's been in the bakery all of once - and not exactly to take a look at the food available there, given when that was.]

[A part of him is very glad she answered. Worrying about ex-family members and being willing to humor their invitations are two very different things, and for a few moments he thought he'd scared her away.

The other part of him is horrified by her lack of knowledge of croissants.]

Buttery pastries that are often eaten for breakfast. They go very well with jams and spreads, and can be used to make sandwiches.

Understood. Croissants: buttery pastries often eaten for breakfast. Complemented by jam and spreads. Possible usage: making sandwiches. [He... might actually hear a faint, barely audible "Updating database." through the accidental voice feed as she writes that if he's listening closely. Looks like she still hasn't noticed that it switched on while she was writing the entry.

... ] Affirmative. Probability of a single person finishing a box of croissants: low. Sharing with another individual is [ ... ] suggested.

[She... didn't quite catch on to what he meant to say with that question, it seems.]
