Believe it or not, amidst the wedding tumult, I have been reading some interesting and/or downright encouraging literature as of late.  At my church's library I picked up copies of L'Abri, The Tapestry, and Forever Music by Edith Schaeffer, plus a collection of her husband's letters to various folks touching upon a myriad of topics.  I am refreshed ( Read more... )

We got the church.

So much can be finalized now, praise God.  We have it essentially all day long...ALL DAY.  This is more than a blessing.  Wow.  No rental fees.  This is HUGE.  Thank you Jesus for blessing us with the simplicity of this place....you see our hearts and know our thoughts.  Thank you, thank you.

I can breathe.  Whew.  :o)

The church I have attended for nearly 20 years is booked solid for the dates I needed.  Holiday season, go figure.  Now we must pay for a reception site...excellent.  :o(   This isn't including catering, seating, and decor.  Calvary would have been ideal, given it was free.

Well...I am engaged.  I am an engaged woman.  I still am having a difficult time understanding how this beautiful man with a beautiful heart put a beautiful ring on my un-manicured hand and asked me (me) to marry him.  Surreal.
