Actually, in a lot of myths, Poseidon and Hades were given thrones in Olympus, as was Hestia - there were three thrones often unoccupied, though, because Hades preferred the Underworld, Poseidon preferred the sea, and Hestia was forever tending he hearth.

I'm a huge Greek Mythology buff, too. =)

XD Well, not necessarily proved wrong - there are a lot of different myths about all of the deities. As far as I know, the most common version is that Poseidon resided on Olympus, predominantly, though.
