Behind Closed Doors. British documentary about domestic abuse.

The BFG. It was okay.

The Bishop's Wife. Holiday Rewatch.

The Book of Life. A rewatch.

Brideshead Revisited. Yup. The 80s signals for gay-ness is not a lie.

Bridge to Terebithia. Heartbreaking mix of fantasy and reality. I was very satisfied with this story.

Cadfael: The Devil's Novice. Another gripping not as it appeared mystery, although I would have liked Roseanna to have done it.

Cadfael: The Holy Thief. Hey, it's not really St. Winnifred! See The Morbid Taste for Bones. Were you not paying attention?

Cadfael: The Leper of St. Giles. Fairly good, with interesting sub plot.

Cadfael: Monks Hood. Look! a poison plot.

Cadfael: The Morbid Taste for Bones. The actual first Cadfael novel, dramatized. Interesting look at the inner workings of the monastery, crazy monks, and ambitious monks!

Cadfael: One Corpse Too Many. Medieval mystery.

Cadfael: The Pilgrim of Hate. Man, medieval times suck.

Cadfael: The Potters Field. Interesting, and not exactly a murder.

Captain America 75-Year Special. A history of Captain America.

Caramel. Light Lebanese love film with dark overtones.

Carnivale. Season One Just started. Eerie. Creepy. Cool. Liked it overall, although high stakes.

Chef. A rewatch.

Chocolat. A very mystical, interesting film with a good cast.

A Christmas Carol. The Patrick Stewart version. A rewatch.

Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. Quite good.

Cuban Fury. A rewatch.

Daniel Deronda. What a craptastic heroine. She's going to suffer. And Hugh Bonningham as a villain. Oookay. But Deronda is a fantastic character! RECOMMENDED.

Daredevil Season 1. A rewatch.

Daredevil Season 2. Good stuff with the law firm, but the bad guys aren't nearly as interesting. Then again, who could top Wilson Fisk?

Das Boot. Watching the famous submarine film.

Deadpool. Thought we were in trouble for a moment there, but this didn't turn out to be too bad. It's pretty crude, though.

The Diving Bell and the Butterfly. Arduous film about paralyzed editor of Elle writing his biography.

Dope. Growing up in the bottoms, LA.

Downton Abbey Season 6. The last one. Feels like it too. Just wrapping everything up.

Dr. Strange (X3). Very Ditko. Liked it a lot.

Dr. Who Season 8. I'm only skim watching this. Man, Steven Moffat, what is it with writers you like going to crap after an extended period on the same project?

Eastern Promises. Violent, but kind of cool. But violent.

The Emperor's New Groove. That was weird. In a good way. But weird.

The Exorcist. Watched for Unreliable Narrators horror month.

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them (x3). Pretty good. Really growing on me.

Finding Dory. This literally jumped the whale shark, but I found parts of it heart-rending, which I'm afraid makes it a bit uneven to view.

For the Love of Spock. Documentary about Nimoy's life.

Frozen. A rewatch.

Ghostbusters. The 2016 remake, which was very VERY good. I'd RECOMMEND this.

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. Um...brutal and Swedish.

Hail! Caesar. The Coen brothers latest. A spoof on the Hollywood of the 1950s.

Heathers. Wow! Awesome parody of 80s teen movies with loads of dark humor. RECOMMENDED.

Hector and the Search for Happiness. So, this is what Simon Pegg has been up to. It was a pretty good film.

Hungry for Change. A juicing commercial.

I am Big Bird. A wonderful documentary on Carrol Spinney.

Jimmy Kimmel Live. What a waste of time and celebrity.

John Carter. A rewatch.

Journeyman. Recently, the one season has been collected, so we'll see if it's as good as I remember it being. It is. RECOMMENDED.

Joyeaux Noel. Christmas armistice during WW1. Good film.

The Jungle Book. Live action adaption. I hear it's really good.

Keanu. We in the market for a gansta pet.

Kill the Irishman. Ray Stevenson is a great actor. The film was fairly well put together too.

Krampus. Holiday rewatch.

Kubo and the Two Strings. Beautiful animation with a surprise ending.

Kung Fu Panda 3. At least as good as one. Some nice moments, some not as good. It's not 2.

Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. Very fond of his Trump-down.

Leverage Season One. Interesting characters. Rapidly becomes episodic. But then improved again and interestingly developed characters.

Leverage Season Two. More character development, but at the same time more character stereotyping. I'm still interested, though. I'm actually kind of into it, though I do miss Gina Bellman.

Leverage Season Three. Now the characters are hitting their stride. Some arcs are solid. Others are kind of caricature.

Leverage Season Four. Starting strong. Finished strong.

Leverage Season Five. Excellent overall. I would RECOMMEND the whole series.

The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou. You go, Wes Anderson. Nicely done!

The Little Prince. Netflix's recent animated version. Beautiful and very touching. RECOMMENDED.

The Lizzie Borden Chronicles. Ugh.

Lost in La Mancha. The documentary about Terry Gilliam trying to make Don Quioxote, with unlucky results.

The Man from UNCLE (X2): A rewatch of the modern version.

Master of None Season One. Won a Peabody. We'll see.

Meet the Patels. Hilarious documentary about Indian matchmaking and marriage.

Michael Moore in Trumpland. An interesting political commentary.

Mikuopolis: Hatsune Miku Tour 2011. Learning about vocaloids for a future novel. It's cool.

Miku More. More of same.

Miraculous. Episodic French superhero cartoon for kids. Very cute.

Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Season 1. Fantastic costumes. Engaging characters. I love the jazz age in Australia. It is funny how most people have a British accent though. I like it.

Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Season 2. More of same. Very good.

Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries. Season 3. I expect more of same.

Moana. I wasn't super impressed, but it was fine

Monster High: The Great Scarrier Reef. Watching this was bitter sweet. It is probably the last piece of Monster High merchandise I will buy, what with the normalization reboot. It was also a well-written, character driven plot. I liked it.

Moonrise Kingdom. Wes Anderson's usual excellent quirky tone. Really enjoyed this.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2. Shame on you, critics! I see nothing wrong with this, and it doesn't deserve your scathing reviews. Perhaps its crime is not being an original idea again, but it is still in the vein of the first one. I enjoyed it fine.

Once Upon a Time Season 2. Things get a bit stretched. Still liking the show, even though it's a bit hokey.

Once Upon a Time Season 3. You know, Rumplestiltskin (Robert Carlyle) rules this show, and I'm just kind of watching it mostly for him. Oh yeah, I'll give Henry and Bae some kudos too. And Emma. But I've had just about enough of the Charmings and Regina. Okay, Regina is okay. Honest.

Once Upon a Time Season 4. We did the Frozen thing, and that was commercial, but I liked it. Now, the villains try to change their endings. It's kinda hokey, but there you go. And sometimes it's just pretty good. So, overall, it's crack, really. And Emma darks herself. Wow.

Once Upon a Time Season 5. Yes, we bought the first half. What? What a dreadful ending. After all that, nothing changed. Now we wait for the midseason to take off again on March 6th. And the show continues to be a bit incestuous, but continues to have its rewards.

Once Upon a Time Season 6. Yeah, this is still around. :) Well, it's the same stuff.

Once Upon a Time in Wonderland. To complete the package. We'll see. Unlikable characters. Kinda bored. Easily the weakest Once Upon a Time. SO FAR.

Penny Dreadful Season 3. The last episode of the series. Hey, let's go to the US! Ending is uneven. Beautiful ending for Frankenstein's monster. Less so for all others.

Pete's Dragon. Really a beautiful little film. Sentimental, but not sappy. I'd RECOMMEND it.

The Pit and the Pendulum. A rewatch.

Pleasantville. A rewatch.

Popstar. Never Stop Never Stopping. Good, but like the critics say, it ain't spinal tap.

The Rainmaker. At first as sexist as all get out, but it gets better.

Raise the Red Lantern. Wow. That was deeply disturbing.

A Royal Night Out. A piece of predictable fluff not really worth your time.

Salem Season 3. Here we go again, witches!

Sherlock Holmes--The Abominable Bride. Alternative but traditional Sherlock Holmes from Moffat's continuity. It's okay.

Sideways. Very painful movie about bachelor party in Sonoma. Supreme acting, but hard to watch. Paul Giamatti does anything he wants to.

Silverado. A rewatch.

Song of the Sea. A fine example of Irish animation, and a pretty story too.

Spy. Yes, it's crude. But they are right. It's kind of good too.

Stalingrad. Biographical!

Star Trek: Beyond. Ugh.

Stuart Saves His Family. A rewatch.

Supergirl. Season 1. Continuing the first season. Supergirl is definitely for a younger crowd, but it's got good stuff in it. I like the Martian Manhunter, of course.

Supergirl. Season 2. Moving to a new town. New characters. Let's see how it goes.

Tarzan. Opened to lukewarm reviews, but I thought it was okay. Not award winning or amazing, but fine.

Tarzan Lord of the Jungle. That classic 70s (80s?) cartoon.

There Will Be Blood. Wow. Daniel Day Lewis, you were a very convincing asshole. Good stuff, but not an easy watch. RECOMMENDED.

To Be Takei. Documentary on George Takei, which is pretty good.

Toy Story Christmas. A rewatch.

Trainspotting. Well, I thought there'd be trains. :) Actually, the only movie whose visuals made me gag. Great acting. Harsh film.

Tremors 5: Bloodlines. Tremors in Africa. It's a Tremors movie, so I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad. What do you expect?

A Trip to the Moon. Now in color!

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Season 1. Weird, but it grows on you, and by the time you get to the end of the season, you want to begin the next one to see what happens.

The Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. Season 2. I want to begin the next one to see what happens! Well, it sort of dived, but then got really interesting again. I'll give this a RECOMMENDED.

The Way We Live Now. Kind of lopsided. Can't decide whether it wants to be parody Trollop, serious Trollope, or comedic Trollope.

Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. A re-viewing on the big screen.

The Witch. Independent film about puritans doing that witch thing. Kind of an origin story.

When Did You Last See Your Father?: A bit predictable and maudlin, I'm afraid.

Woman of the Year. Really weird Hepburn/Tracy film. Kind of dark.

The Woman in Black. A rewatch.

The Women. Pretty bizarre movie based on a play with all women. Lots of divorce.

XMen Apocalypse (X2): The James Bond of Marvel continuity. Wasn't great, but wasn't bad.

Young Doctor Dee. Meh.

Young Justice. Just started rewatching.

Zootopia (X2). Not too bad new Disney animated film.
