I've been Tuska-busy for the last three days, even though I didn't have a ticket. Well, the bands weren't that special (for me), so again I had good time to concentrate on the essence... :P Here are some things to remember of this year ( Read more... )

Hehheh, a Frenchman came to the pier by a boat?! In Helsinki?! You seem to attract all kinds of interesting people to you :)

But why didn't you accept the invitation to go eat with the long-haired bike-guy? Come on, an innocent dinner.. First impressions can be so wrong and opinions about people can change profoundly over time (I have a good example at home). But if he was a total "no no" person, then I surely understand your reaction... :)

I didn't even realize it was Tuska festival because I was so busy moving and cleaning... heh.

It's all true even though some parts don't sound like it. :D The Frenchman came from the direction of Töölönlahti and the boat left him on the pier, after which he disappeared somewhere towards Tuska. I thought there might be some connection that a French band was playing just at that time...

I have no idea what was wrong with the bike-guy, probably nothing, just my stupid head, which had already put him in "no interest" category and all the black-dressed long-hairies in "yes interest" category, and it seems to stay that way. He even had very athletic arms and upper body, which I had to look at for an hour. :D We liked all the same things, or he made it seem like it, amazing how much you can learn of a person in an hour. I think I've never talked with him more than a few words.

Tuska always comes too fast and I never manage to find out what bands play there until it's a bit too late to buy tickets. It should be at least twice a year. :D

Hah. I just made some FB-research and of course I should have guessed this - the bike-guy has played or plays in a little band. :D There MUST be some weird musician radar in my head... so spooky. I even noticed another example from work today!
