When Awesome knocked on Chuck's door frame, he was reading through a book, brushing up on his programming languages. Maybe he was planning to program an island version of Zork. Maybe he wasn't.
Maybe he was just really, really bored.
"Yeah-- yeah, sure," Chuck said, "What's up?"

"Hey, so, Ellie and I have been talking," Devon started, figuring he might s well just get it done, "about wedding stuff, you know. Figuring things out. And I know you'll be giving Ellie away, but I wanted to know if you'd do double duty and be my best man."
Chuck really was the closest thing to family Devon had on the island anymore, and he couldn't think of anyone else he really wanted up there.

"Oh, wow," Chuck said, a little surprised to be asked. He blinked a few times. "I really don't know what to say...are-- are you sure you wouldn't rather have one of your football buddies do it?"
