It looks very plain to me. I'm not too impressed with the header graphic, the marquee border only works on some things, some of the time and sadly, it doesn't work well here.

The link hovers aren't something I really think goes with the layout. And while the date is rather neat, I think the lines are too harsh for my tastes.

Overall it seems a bit blah and overly line-harsh to me.

It's cute, and I love the barcode over the date idea, but a lot of other things just seem to fall flat. Also, in larger resolutions, your layout just ...ENDS. There's all this white space. You might want to think about having your BG image repeat over the whole background.

Plain, but not in a bad way. The only thing that gets to me is all that wasted space!

I do love your date stamp, but I don't like the line over your links. While I don't particularly like or dislike your header image, I do wish that you'd justified your entries. And the red text in the sidebar seems kind of out of nowhere to me. It's not bad, you obviously have some skill, but it's still somewhat lacking.
