Coachella!

It somehow becomes more and more fun every year I go. How is that even possible? For lack of a better adjective, it was more music-festival-ish than I've ever seen it. Partly because I did onsite camping, of course, but they totally revamped a shit ton of their standards as well ( Read more... )

I'm spending so much money this year, I don't know if I want to / can go to Burning Man this year, though I totally do want to... and I want to take Loren. I don't think he's quite ready for it, but he's kind of where I am a year ago, in needing beauty and freedom and raw feeling despite a mostly "square" existence day-to-day. If funds allow I totally do want to.

And it makes me super happy that you did that "TASHA EH EH??" there... I'm going to Livejournal about this tonight or tomorrow, but despite how AMAZING ALSD;KFJASLDKJF Coachella was I am a little down on myself on how I handled the weekend as a whole, and I'm glad you still want to go to hippie-ish things with me. I'll explain in my own entry, but, point being, I love you and you're amazing :) .

When is Burning Man? Can you buy like...partial tickets? I don't know if I can handle more than like...3 days. Maybe that's a lie. And I'm glad you had fun at Coachellums. And Sasquatch is sold out for this year :(

Can SXSW be on that list?

A Burning Man ticket gets you admission into the event. You can come as late and leave as early as you want, just no ins & outs.

I'll save my Burning Man rant for later, but just know attending it means lots of flexibility (aka, no tight schedules on when you expect to get there and leave) and several days of discomfort before you figure out what the hell you're doing there and it hits you.

That being said, OMG YOU SHOULD TOTALLY GO. It's the first week of September, you're totally not in school yet.

Yes information would be good! I will gladly take it (if not for this year then future years to come).

I just need to see if it interferes with Korea or any jobs/internships I might have. The jobs/internships is flexible enough, but Korea takes precedent over everything right now.

mehh as always that's probably my first week of school... though my current self-inprovement focus involves straying further from my overachieving roots because of how ridiculously happy it makes me. In other words: I'm way more comfortable at possibly getting kicked out of classes I don't necessarily need than I was last year.

I'd plan on staying the week (flexibly, of course), mostly because I don't like to do anything fun half way :)

Anyway, yay stuff! Really looking forward to your entry Tasha.
