My mother's against me getting a sidekick, so It doesn't seem like I'd be able to get one anytime soon. The only thing stoping her is the fact that I'd be spending almost 25% of my money per month on it.......I know it's alot, but I don't mind. It has everything that I do with my life (communicate and internet) in one gadget.

Hey Ave, I have a pre-paid phone and i love it. But if you add up all the math, you end up spending more on minutes than you would with a plan. Yet, it has its perks. Usually, i just call people when its completely necessary - and kinda use the phone as a beeper. Plus, i'm totally addicting to texting - so i save my minutes for that. I have a virgin mobile pre-paid phone, and they have some reallly cute phones.

I wanted a sidekick too, but it was too expensive. So, i found the next best thing in pre-paid and got this phone that flips open and has a full keyboard. however, its a lot smaller and a little more practical than a sidekick. its got internet, AIM, a camera, text/picture messaging etc.

idk. you could look into it, having a plan would be way better but pre-paids not THAT bad. :)
