 She still couldn't believe it was over. So many people from her past... gone. Turned into piles of coins. She and Scott could finally be together, but it was finally hitting her. They were all gone

Gideon hadn't really used subspace much since his demise. Now that he had lost in the fight against Scott, he no longer had a need to peek in on his nemesis' thoughts or memories. But he had been out exploring the city limits of this Toronto, and subspace provided him the quickest route back to the Chaos Theater.

Imagine his surprise when he discovers he's not the only one here. He blinks, and then waves. This looked to be a different Ramona than the one that he met in the park.

"Ramona. Baby. Hey."

Things were getting interesting, now.

Wait, what!? That voice. Ramona looked up in complete shock.

"...'Hey'? I run into the ghost of my newly defeated Ex and all he has to say is 'hey'?"

How was he not dead? A horrible thought dawned on her. "Oh God, am I dead?"

Gideon frowns a little bit when she mentions his defeat. But that just cements it; she's not the same Ramona he met earlier. Now he's definitely curious.

"No, honey. You're not dead, you're just... look, things are weird here. It's not the Toronto you're used to."

"What do you mean? Did I fall through, like, some hole in subspace? Did aliens abduct Toronto and pull it into space? I still don't understand why you're here!"

She bit her lip, looking him over. He seemed to be intact and not made of money. Maybe he had an extra life the whole time.

"I'm still pissed at you. Don't think those pet names are going to fly."
