It's hard to explain why such a thing was happening right now. But if one were to peer into the garden of the park, you'd be hard-pressed not to notice the sudden crash coming from it.
If you were to look even closer, you'd see that the clash was made by two identical, quite large hammers...

Let's cut back to the beginning... )

One of the best places to do this was the park--it was never too crowded and the open air helped him think. It seemed like today, however, solitude just wasn't in the cards. He'd only heard of the Glow manifesting itself this way once before, and he'd never witnessed it firsthand. He rushes over to the dueling Ramonas and tries to grab Nega Ramona by the wrists, keeping her from swinging that ridiculously large hammer.
"Woah woah woah, ladies-- what's all this about?"

"It's not your business," Nega Ramona said, attempting to break free of the grip he had on her. "We're just having a little girl talk. Nothing to be concerned about."
Ramona, on the other hand, had a free shot at Nega. But she didn't swing. Or kick. Or hit. "What are you doing here?"

"That's bullshit, you know exactly how much you've been beating up on yourself!" Nega Ramona gives a smirk. "I'm just here to help solidify that mindset for you." Without warning, Nega picks up her right foot, and quickly kicks backwards at Gideon to get him off of her. "If you want a way out, I'll give you a way out. But if you want things to get better, you're going to have to prove that you're capable of change, too!"
