We called the cable company, told them what we wanted to spend, and ended up with an enhanced channel line up. Not sure how, but we dropped our bill by $30 and ended up with HBO on top of everything else.
On the other hand, we currently only subscribe to Netflix and Hulu and DSL, no cable bill at all. Every once and a while, we get impatient and buy something via Amazon.com.
