- I just ate an entire box of macaroni and cheese by myself. For breakfast. What is my life coming to?

- I've been listening to the same 19 song playlist for the past two and a half weeks, and have yet to tire of it (this is a huge accomplishment for me).

- Just so everyone knows, Candace Cunard is a goddess among persons. She has in her possession ( Read more... )

NIYA!

1) I love that girl's whole blog. The day it was linked to me I spent like, eight hours there or something. Haha.

1.5) You're in luck; I am a registered alot breeder. What kind of alot are you looking for?

2) Isn't it so good? Did you do that thing where you listen to it on repeat obsessively, until you could no longer stand it? Because I'm definitely doing that right now. Haha.

3) God, everything by her is so good. I feel like every song I listen to is my new favorite song.

4) I haven't heard it, but I will look it up now :)

5) :{o (<--- In response to your smiley, this is a startled man with a moustache)

RAWR!

1) I want to be her friend. Real bad. Everything she says is so funny. And everyone comments and is like, "I LOVE YOU!" So I doubt she'd be my friend. But I'll pretend.

1.5) I just want a big fluffy one. Not an Alot of fire or anything.

2) YES. I did just that. We used to blast it through out apartment. Over and over. It's worth it.

3) I have a legit crush on Laura Marling. I too, decide every song of hers is my favorite.

4) I had Black and Gold syndrome with Little Secrets. Over and over and over.

5) !,! ("Hi. I'm a rabit.")

No worries on the mac and cheese front. I've done the same (though for lunch/dinner) - and occasionally, it's just so YUMMY. Oozy, fake cheesy goodness.

I guess technically it was my dinner, since I'd been awake all night? I don't know. It was immensely satisfying though. The thing about mac and cheese is (at least for me), I dislike it except when I'm craving it, but when I crave it, absolutely nothing else will do. That fake yummy cheesy taste is irreplaceable. Haha.

Mostly I think I did it so you have to see me while I'm home this summer. Otherwise I shall hold Gut Symmetries hostage. (Also, I'm sorry we haven't skyped about this yet! Tomorrow is obviously the answer to this. I have SO MUCH to tell you. There will probably be a VERY Jeanette-heavy LJ post sometime tomorrow that will be too much full of awesome for words.)

But really don't think about this in terms of making things up to people. It's not like this was something I didn't enjoy doing! Because, my god, that woman. I just have no words left.

It's my fault we haven't skyped about it, probably; I installed Skype but whenever I open it, it opens four or five separate processes that each take up a lot of memory, so I've avoided being on it at all. I will go on it tomorrow though, because I want to hear all about not just the Hay Festival, but any other recent adventures that I have missed since our last Skype conversation :)

Also, while you are holding Gut Symmetries hostage, you should read it. Or even just read the first thirty pages, which are (in my opinion) far and away the best part.

Lauren, do you really think I could own a book and not read it? *ignores all unread books mocking her from the shelf* OF COURSE I read Gut Symmetries. In fact, I was a little over halfway through with it when I went to see Jeanette speak. (It seems really strange now to talk about her in a non-personal way? Even though I totally don't know her?) It was really weird going back and reading the second half of it after having met her -- it felt so different! And it feels really different from Oranges are Not the Only Fruit, which was the last thing of hers that I'd read. When I go home I'm re-reading Written on the Body to see if it sounds different now, too.

Also, regarding Skype - I can call your cell if that's easier, just give me a time when you'd be able to talk. Remember I'm 8 hours ahead of you.
