It's okay! I mean. I'm okay. [Sort of. Not really.] Besides, she's left and come back before, so- here's hoping?

Depends on what you make of it, I think.

I think my mood changes about it pretty much daily.

Can't imagine why.

I try not to turn down any opportunity where the potential for cake can be involved, though.

Mmmm. Cake! That was one plus I forgot about. Because any type of anniversary can involve cake, right?

Well, has it been a good year?

And-- if that was a friend of yours who left, I'm sorry.

For the most part! Definite ups and downs, but that... happens everywhere, right?

Um, well- [Debating whether or not tell him. Then figures "ah, what the hell".] -my girlfriend, actually.

Well if it's been a good year here, I think celebrating is the way to go.

Your-- oh. Oh.

Then I'm really sorry to hear that. Are you all right?

Maybe I should, then. Celebrating is a good way to feel better, isn't it? I think it is. Because- there can be cake and chocolate and possibly alcohol. And friends! They're all good coping mechanisms.

[Pauuuuse.] Yeah, I'm all right. Not completely a hundred percent, I guess, but not drowning in complete misery. So, I count that as all right.

I think it depends. If you're happy here, that means it should be happy, right?

I guess you're right. Plus, actually celebrating it would be fun, wouldn't it?

[Deciding to be a bit of a troll despite depression.] Out of curiosity, would you actually come if I invited you to a party?

What do people even do at parties?

I don't think it's meant to be anything. Do you feel like celebrating?

I don't know. Sort of? It'd lighten things up, at least.

You mean it would give you something else to think about?

Right! Exactly. A something else that is considerably cheerier than all the other somethings.
