are we supposed to look forward to the future? Is there something wrong with people who keep reflecting on the past? I'm just curious. Does our past determine our future?

If my past determined my future I would be dead. So I like to think that the past is not a determining factor in my future, but rather a book of lessons to be learned from.

A buddhist would tell you that it is not the past, nor the future, but rather the here and now that we sould keep in mind. However, I am not yet a buddhist so I will not tell you that yet. =)
