Whatever happened to the simple life?

No the tv show, but a time when everything made sense, homework was done on the day you got it and the sales didn't start till January.

As a student with a part time job I found much to my dismay that the Christmas rota puts me in on boxing day and the day after when I requested these days off to go home and spend Christmas with my family. That requires sorting but what is even more ridiculous (As if Boxing day Sales weren't bad enough) The store is opening at seven a.m. What kind of loser gets up for seven a.m. on boxing day and thinks "Hmmm I know, I'm going to go to my local computer superstore and shop" What miserable souls, it's Boxing Day for gods sake you should be at home having a lie-in. As a long suffering employee of the hard sales machine I think that Boxing Day Sales should be banned and January Sales should start in January.

Sorry, needed to get that out.

Final few weeks of Uni Semester, the real hard work begins.

Two separate assignments, a critical analysis of 'The Origins of Virtue' by Matt Ridley and Quantitative Analysis of Alcohol in Beer using Gas Liquid Chromatography with an Internal Standard. Both vying for my attention. Book analysis taking priority as I have a meeting with the Module Leader tomorrow. I have at least three more assignments to worry about but they have slightly longer deadlines (Or are less important in class work). I may as well hook myself up to the caffeine drip now.

And finally...

I'm tired but I can't sleep, I have the TV on showing some bad comedy show because of the damn quiz shows and endless Cribs repeat on TMF. Its almost one in the morning and I'm writing this when I could be working on my book analysis. Manufacturers keep designing bigger and bigger TVs. (I object to one over forty inches, I just don't see how people have the room).

My housemates are having a tiff, one of them gave a key to her boyfriend of not-even-a-month without asking the rest of us. Too late to take it back now, just have to let it be. But I'm guessing they both think the other should apologize. Oh well it'll probably blow over soon enough.

I need another weekend off. And more hours in the day.
