Ronaldo was morose.
"Don't feel bad," Kaka said.
Ronaldo shrugged. He didn't see how he could feel any different.
"Your phone is ringing," Kaka said. "Do you want me to answer it?"
There was no reply, so Kaka did. "Hello," he said, "Cristiano Ronaldo's phone, Kaka speaking."
"Kaka! It's Pat. Patrice."
Kaka smiled. "Hey," he said. "Hang on."
He walked back into the lounge. "I think you want to take this one," he said. Ronaldo eyed him suspiciously. Kaka gestured with the phone. "Come on," he said. "Trust me."

I find it hard to imagine Ronaldo being anything other than furious, crushed, and humiliated, much like all other Utd fans. I know he isn't a Utd fan by birth or whatever but goddamn he loves that team.
WHY ARE THERE SO MANY PLAYERSawkward_sortaOctober 24 2011, 21:00:24 UTC
kidding. sort of.
Berba!
Berbatov felt a strange sense of being left out. This didn't happen very often. He had a feeling of being the only man not at the party. Which didn't make sense, because there was definitely not partying today.
He frowned around the house for a while, and read with his daughter for a bit, and then frowned some more.
Elena came in later. "Your phone was in the car," she said. "Did you want it?"
He has a couple of missed calls and a text from Hernandez.
"Still happy faces Berba!!" It says. Suddenly he feels a lot better.

Ashley grinned. He never felt so good as when he combined with Wayne to make those goals at the start of the season.
"Not this time," he said. "But no more losing alright?"
Wayne grinned and pushed him over.
"Takes two, mate," he said, and shouted as Hernandez stole the ball from under his feet.

Park wandered in to the kitchen, Lenny hanging from his arm.
"Yeah?" Pat turned around. "Hey," he said, "hey, Lenny, come on now-"
Park grinned. "It's fine," he said.
Pat shook his head. "Ji," he said, "you give him an inch..."
Lenny swung back and forth a bit, and showed his father his teeth.
"Have you made all your calls?"
Pat smiled and manhandled his son off Park. He held him upside down and said, "Yeah. Cristian said hello."
Park smiled. "Want me to make his supper?" He nodded at Lenny.
"Yeah," Pat said, "thanks. We'll get a bath running." He turned Lenny the right way up and walked off, singing a song in French. Park smiled again.
